Description

Vintage, beautifully hand painted Sun Face w/florals wall art tile by Val Demone Ceramics. Semi-matte glaze on top surface (underside is un-glazed). Tile has an imbedded wire loop/hook on underside for hanging. This could also be installed as a “First Stone” for Good Luck/Prosperity, or in a fireplace surround, or backsplash. Dimensions: 7-3/4” Square x 9/16” thick Hand Marked on underside: “VAL DEMONE S. STEF. CAM” Val Demone is located in one of the oldest Sicilian ceramic districts, Santo Stefano Di Camastra, and produces a rich collection of artisan ceramics with an unmistakable character. Previously owned in very good handcrafted condition. I’ve noted one tiny glaze chip on front lower corner. (See last photo) No other chips, cracks or crazing.
